For now, for later: It makes sense to stock up on powerful hand sanitizer.

In some states, things are getting better, but the coronavirus pandemic is far from over. We’re going to be hand-washing, social-distancing and keeping our paws off our faces for a while. Each time there’s a bit of good news, we’re also hit with a dose of reality: a reminder to be prepared for another round. We’re not trying to bring you down, folks, just help you stay on top of things.

So for now and for later, it’s wise to really stock up on sanitizing essentials—especially those we need as we venture out into the world, away from home where we can vigorously wash with soap and water. In other words, hand sanitizer may be more essential than ever.

Strong and powerful

As you probably know, the CDC says that for hand sanitizer to do its job, it must contain a minimum of 60 percent ethanol alcohol or 70 percent isopropanol alcohol. Of course, shelves have long been cleared of this precious stuff, but we scoured the Internet and found a spray that fits the bill. In fact, it’s the strongest hand sanitizer you can buy right now on Amazon.

This fast-acting sanitizer contains 75 percent isopropanol alcohol and was formulated in accordance with CDC recommendations. For $25 (was $30), you’ll get three good-size bottles—8 ounces each—which should keep you covered for a long time. You might want to grab a second batch and tuck them away. It’s safety in the bank.

For hands, doorknobs, the steering wheel

We’ve all experienced the struggle of finding effective cleaning products in this difficult time. Because this hand sanitizer is in spray form, it actually works well as an all-purpose disinfectant on small areas—and you don’t feel like you’re wasting it, because a little spritz will do the job.

Tuck a bottle into the car, keep one right inside the front door at home, and throw the third into your cloth shopping tote—so as soon as you exit the supermarket, you can spritz (whew—what a relief!). For folks wiping down groceries before they put them away, this spray is a godsend. It’s nimble and there for you—much more flexible and problem-solving than a gel or liquid sanitizer. Shoppers agree. Says one five-star reviewer: “You can use this for hands and skin. You can also just spray it on door knobs, water faucets in your home or business, or anything really that needs to be cleaned and just let it sit and dry....”

Easy on skin, fast to arrive

Reviewers love this spray sanitizer, and say there was no stress in waiting for its arrival. It’s the virtual needle in the haystack—CDC-level hand sanitizer that shows up quickly and, magically, doesn’t strip skin of its natural oils: “Strong alcohol but somehow it does leave your hands smooth and doesn't dry skin,” writes a happy shopper. “Equally amazingly, I expected a long wait time on delivery like everything else during this pandemic, especially supplies like masks and sanitizers. The delivery was estimated to take 1-2 weeks, but I got my order in two days.”
