Amanda Hearst Throws Third Annual Sustainable Style Awards

Amanda Hearst’s sustainable fashion platform Maison de Mode hosted its third annual Sustainable Style Awards in partnership with Aveda on Saturday. Guests arrived at the 1 Hotel West Hollywood in their eco-best—gowns and suits borrowed from fashion houses or made from repurposed and responsibly sourced materials. Some of the outfits were auctioned off the following morning on Maison de Mode with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting charity:water. Hassan Pierce, co-founder of Maison de Mode, and Hearst planned the event with the environment in mind, from flowers by Repeat Roses to a plant-based menu. Derek Blasberg presented Amber Valletta with the Sustainable Style Award, while Nadja Swarovski presented the Innovator Award to Margherita Missoni.
