I Am Personally Convinced Kylie Jenner Is the Sun on ‘The Masked Singer’

From Cosmopolitan

In what I can only assume is a terrifying bid to take over the planetary system/universe, The Masked Singer season 4 recently debuted its hottest contestant yet: the Sun. And truly, the phrase “here comes the sun” has never taken on a more sinister meaning. Then again—and maybe this is just the curse this show put on me talking—this costume is kinda lowkey cool:

I, for one, can’t wait to see which “celebrity” is lurking inside the Sun, and it looks like les internets has some pretty decent theories.

The Clue Package(s)

The Sun’s first clue package is honestly jam-packed with bright, shiny hints, including but not limited to:

  1. The phrase “rise and shine”

  2. A reference to “seasons”

  3. A pretty pool house

  4. A reference to a “silver sanctuary”

  5. A “gold member” card

  6. A swimming pool with “2 feet” written on the side

  7. A reference to the ~pressure~ of stardom

  8. A Mickey Mouse–shaped planet

  9. A reference to a deep depression

  10. A reference to being “frozen”

  11. The phrase “a quiet place”

  12. The phrase “ray of light” (NO, THIS IS NOT MADONNA, LOL)

The Theories

Kylie Jenner

I will literally question the very nature of reality if Kylie ends up being the Sun— however, there are some convincing clues. Starting with the obvious: The Sun says “rise and shine,” which we all know is Kylie’s catchphrase, ugh:

The Sun also mentions “seasons,” which could be a Keeping Up With the Kardashians reference, and we know Kylie has felt the pressure of stardom. On the other hand, she’s a billionaire who barely filmed her own show, so…yeah. Maybe this isn’t her.

Demi Lovato

Seems unlikely, but fans are pointing to the obvious Disney references and the fact that Demi was in Sonny With a Chance of Meatballs. Plus, Demi sang a version of “Let It Go” in Frozen.

LeAnn Rimes

Apparently, LeAnn had a Disney Channel special early in her career—and people think the Sun sounds just like her in this performance of “Cuz I Love You,” by Lizzo:

And get this: There’s a YouTube video of LeAnn singing the song last year, and it sounds almost exactly the same.

As one YouTuber mused, “If that’s not LeAnn Rimes, I’ll eat my shoe.”
