Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez agrees to 'glam session' with 'Drag Race' star: 'I am trying to practice my glow-up skills'

A RuPaul’s Drag Race star is coming to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s rescue after the congresswoman admitted on social media that she’s lacking in the glam department.

“I am trying to practice my glow-up skills and am on the struggle bus big time,” she joked on Instagram Stories over the holiday weekend, showing off a pair of fake eyelashes.

But help is on the way. Just as her longtime boyfriend, Riley Roberts, got a “glow-up” of his own after online commenters compared his scruffy bearded look to a “bin raccoon,” Ocasio-Cortez has a makeover in the works. It’s courtesy of drag queen Shuga Cain (a.k.a. Jesus Martinez), who starred on season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Cain offered Ocasio-Cortez a “glam session” after seeing her cry for help, and the politician happily pounced.

While AOC is no stranger to the odd blow-out or swipe of red lipstick, her supporters are pumped for some intense makeover action — and even a potential Drag Race cameo.

One commenter, however, complained that Ocasio-Cortez should focus on more pressing political matters.
