Ever since Erin Napier gave fans an inside look at Jolene, her and Ben's Airstream, we've been dreaming of hitting the road with a shiny, retro trailer. Using their distinct aesthetic, the renovation duo transformed their trailer into a warm mobile home. This week, Airstream announced they've made some major upgrades of their own to their most popular travel model.

On Tuesday, Airstream unveiled the new Basecamp 20. Light enough to tow with an SUV or small truck, the 16-foot trailer is perfect for summer trips on the road. The new model is bigger than its predecessor, making it ideal for a small group of people. It comes in two packages: standard and "X," both of which will be available at the same time this summer.

Built for bigger adventures, the new Basecamp is longer, wider, and taller. Airstream extended the floor plan by four feet and changed up the layout so that the space feels much larger. Surrounded by panoramic windows, the new U-shaped dinette can fit up to four adults. It's the best space to eat, work, and hang out inside the trailer. Since the tabletop swivels completely, no one has to worry about asking everyone to stand up each time someone has to leave the table. The convertible dinette can also transition into a sleeping area in just 30 seconds.

Now located across the hallways from the wetbath in the galley, the kitchen appliances also got an upgrade. The bigger all-electric refrigerator and the optional microwave are conveniently situated right next to the dinette. And now that they're stacked, there's much more room for storage. Other major updates? There's an exterior shower with cold and hot water as well as a continuous and tankless hot water heater.

The Basecamp 20X has all the new features of the standard model, plus a lift kit, larger Goodyear off-road tires and stylized wheels, and stainless steel front stone guards. It's ideal for those who want to travel further off the camping trails to more remote locations.

Ready for big adventures? The new Basecamp starts at $38,000. Find out more about the sleek trailer here.
