Social media has been inundated lately with videos that have made viewers squirm, including a teenager who licked a carton of ice cream only to put it back into a store's freezer. Now, people are cringing at a video recently shared on Twitter, in which a man appears to use his foot to choose which movie to watch during his flight.

In the video, an unidentified man can be seen using his naked big toe to swipe through movie and television choices on an airplane's touchscreen. The footage has since made social media users wonder why they haven't been obsessively disinfecting everything around them before they sit down for their flight.

"My friend who doesn’t have twitter sent this from her flight," crime novelist and New York Times best-selling author Alafair Burke tweeted. "It belongs on Twitter."

While some Twitter users wondered if perhaps the person onboard the flight had a muscular impairment, which would result in having to use their feet instead of their hands, Burke confirmed that her friend who shot the footage witnessed the man walk on and off the plane, "carrying his own bag."

"He just likes to watch TV with his bare feet," Burke, who did not wish to release the date or flight number of the incident as it seemed too similar to doxing, in which private or identifying information is shared on the Internet with malicious intent, tweeted.

Many were quick to share their discomfort over the situation.

However, many more gave a playful nod to a recent video shared on model Naomi Campbell's YouTube account featuring her pre-flight ritual, in which she wipes down every surface of a plane she may touch. Many also commented that they would follow her now sage advice.

"This is what I do with every plane I get on," Campbell wisely explains in her YouTube video. "I do not care what people think of me. It's my health and it makes me feel better."
