With its latest announcement, Airbnb is continuing to introduce innovative ways for its users to experience the world. Earlier this week, the popular online marketplace introduced a series of new online experiences created specifically for neurodiverse guests. The term neurodiversity was coined in the late '90s and refers to variations in the human brain that are directly related to sociability, learning, attention, mood and more.

Among the online experiences Airbnb will introduce for neurodiverse guests are Travel to California Through Painting, Healing Soul Transformation Meditation and Inclusive Skateboarding.

“We are excited to offer Online Experiences designed by hosts with Neurodiverse guests in mind. Our hope is these activities will help guests become more comfortable with a new activity or use them to connect with loved ones,” said Suzanne Edwards, Airbnb Head of Hosting Accessibility Standards, in a statement. “Airbnb is committed to improving accessibility across our platform and we continue working toward our goal of making Experiences as inclusive of as many needs as possible.”

In addition to the inclusiveness of the new experiences, many of them are Social Impact, meaning all of the proceeds will go to a non-profit.
