Agency behind Blackpink, Big Bang holding auditions in Singapore

SINGAPORE — Dreaming of being a K-pop superstar? You may be a step closer if you are aged between 10 and 19.

YG Entertainment, the agency behind popular Korean bands Blackpink, Big Bang and Winner, announced on its website and social media platforms on Wednesday (22 September) that it will be holding auditions in Singapore as part of its global audition tour.

From now till 23 October, those born between 2003 and 2012 can apply for the audition via a google form with their personal particulars, including height and weight, and a photo of themselves.

They must perform a song within a minute in one of three categories: vocal, rap or dance. Dance applicants must bring their choice of music and store it on their handphone.

A confirmation email will be sent on 1 November to applicants informing them of the first round of the audition, which is slated to take place from 8 to 11 November on the 10th level of Orchard Central.

The second round is expected to be held on 25 and 26 November at the same venue.

The YG global audition tour will also be heading to countries and cities including Malaysia, Indonesia, New Zealand, New York, Tokyo, and Taipei.
