Adele has revealed her outlook on life has changed since reading the memoir Untamed: stop pleasing, start living.

The singer and songwriter praised the self-help book, written by Glennon Doyle, and credited it with helping her find herself and helping her to “let go”.

Adele, 32, posted a photo of the book’s cover on Instagram, which she captioned: “If you’re ready - this book will shake your brain and make your soul scream. I am so ready for myself after reading this book! It’s as if I just flew into my body for the very first time.

“Whew! Anyone who has any kind of capacity to truly let go and give into yourself with any kind of desire to hold on for dear life - Do it. Read it. Live it. Practice it. We are a lot! But we are meant to be a lot!

“I never knew that I am solely responsible for my own joy, happiness and freedom!! Who knew our own liberation liberates those around us? Cause I didn’t!!”

Adele’s post has attracted a lot of attention, as it has racked up more than 360,000 likes on the photo-sharing site.

Doyle’s memoir, which was released in March this year, discusses the activist’s personal experience of self-discovery as she encourages readers to accept their “true self”.

Untamed is already Amazon’s number one bestselling book, beating Stephenie Meyer’s new Twilight spin-off Midnight Sun, as well as Jamie Oliver’s new cookbook to the top spot.

Many readers seem to be equally as taken with the memoir as Adele, as it has already received more than 1,400 glowing reviews.

One shopper wrote: “Untamed should be compulsory reading at 16.”

Another buyer added: “This is a raw, honest, personal and incredible book that many of us can relate to. And we need more of this courage and openness in the world.”

Untamed: Stop pleasing, start living is available to buy in paperback from Amazon for £14.99, as well as hardback for £28.04 or as a Kindle edition for £6.99.
