Another year, another Video Music Awards, aka one of the biggest nights in music. Our fave celebs walked the black carpet in some truly remarkable fashions, but one starlet was noticeably missing from the crowd, Addison Rae.
The TikTok girlie has attended a number of major events this year, including the Grammys and the BMI Pop Awards alongside her musician BF Omer Fedi, and hello, who can forget her Met Gala appearance?! But unfortunately, Addison skipped the 2022 Video Music Awards and we’re left to wonder what incredible look she would’ve rocked on the red carpet.
Addi recently returned from a romantic Italian getaway with Omer, and since there’s a nine-hour time difference between her home city of Los Angeles and Italy, it’s possible that her vacation plans kept her from the show. But all in all, the girl is #bookedandbusy, so it’s likely that her schedule didn’t permit a flight out to the ceremony in Newark, New Jersey. Earlier today, the social media star shared snaps from her September cover shoot with Remix magazine, and she also just launched her own fashion doll.
In a somewhat surprising twist, one member of Addison’s fam did make the award show. Her mom, Sherri Nicole Easterling, attended the VMAs with rapper Yung Gravy — and they even coordinated with matching lavender outfits.
In an interview before the show, Yung Gravy revealed the details of how the two initially met. “We met online and we connected right away,” he said. “I’m into MILFs and she’s kind of the queen of MILFs, so I figured it was just the perfect match.” Oh! 😳
Sheri expressed that she was “super excited” to be there, and later, she and Yung Gravy shared a quick kiss as cameras snapped away on the red carpet. There’s been no confirmation that they’re officially dating, but since Sheri separated from Addi’s father Monty Lopez, she and Yung Gravy have exchanged some flirty messages on TikTok. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens next.
