Adding pretzels will level up any sweet or salty snack

Did you know how many things you can make with pretzels? In this episode of ITK: Kitchen Hacks, we show you just how versatile this salty snack can be with three yummy pretzel hacks. From desserts to appetizers, you can make a whole range of foods with something you already have sitting in your pantry. These fun snacks are easy to make add a crunchy, salty flavor.

Pretzel Hack 1: Pretzel tart crust

Make a sweet and salty dessert by using ground-up pretzels to create a tart crust that you can fill with chocolate. First, pulse 2 ½ cups of pretzels in a food processor, then transfer to a bowl and stir in half a cup of melted, unsalted butter. Transfer the mixture to a tart pan and press everything down. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

Pretzel Hack 2: Pretzel skewers

Add fruit and cheese cubes to pretzel sticks for an easy party snack. Small pieces of fruit, like grapes or apple slices, work best. Lay them out on a cutting board or serving dish for a fan-favorite appetizer.

Pretzel Hack 3: Candy-pretzel bites

Whether served as a dessert or a snack, these bites are always a crowd-pleaser. Place small pretzels on a lined baking tray and top each of them with a piece of chocolate candy. Bake at 200 degrees for four to five minutes. Add a smaller piece of chocolate-coated candy to the top when it’s melty.
