‘Ace of Cakes’ Pastry Chef Duff Goldman Served a Meat Cake at His Wedding

The Ace of Cakes served numerous mouthwatering confections on his wedding day, but the most creative option was comprised entirely of meat. Pastry chef Duff Goldman, who married Johnna Colbry at the Museum of Natural History in L.A., teased the four-tier meat treat ahead of his January 19 nuptials.

“The bottom tier is meatballs,” Goldman, 44, told People. “The second tier is meatloaf, third tier is lamb shawarma, the top tier is scrapple. Then it’s iced in mashed potatoes, with bacon roses and then we have a chocolate fountain that we put gravy in.”

The groom–best known for his custom pastry shop Charm City Cakes and his former role on Food Network’s Ace of Cakes–embellished his latest masterpiece with hot dogs and deli meat modeled into a mini bride and groom.

On Monday, Goldman debuted the first image from his nuptials, sharing a sweet moment of the couple embracing in the paleontology section of the museum.
