ABC has kept quiet about who’s in the running for next season of The Bachelor…until now.
In a recent interview with E! News, Robert Mills—the network’s senior vice president of alternative series, specials and late-night programming—revealed that they’re getting closer to selecting a lead for season 24 of the popular dating series.
So, how is the decision made? “We listen to what people want to see,” Mills said.
He also confirmed that three contestants from Hannah Brown’s season are considered front-runners: Mike Johnson, Peter Weber and Tyler Cameron. However, Mills made sure to note that Tyler is a “wild card,” since he was recently spotted on a date with Gigi Hadid.
Unfortunately, the executive didn’t reveal any further details about when the decision will be made. When asked if there’s anything he knows for sure, Mills said, “I don’t think it will be Jed.” Phew!
The news comes just one week after Brown’s season of The Bachelorette concluded. While we’d be happy with any of the front-runners, most fans are rooting for Mike, who would make history as the first black Bachelor.
As for the announcement, there’s a good chance we’ll have to wait until season six of Bachelor in Paradise comes to an end, so don’t hold your breath.
