While no one really needs another reason to love cashmere, you can feel even better about buying this sweater as it’s not only the ideal cozy layer to combat freezing airports, it’s also made from 60 percent recycled cashmere. Raw cashmere productions are degrading large portions of Mongolia’s pastures, so Everlane partnered with a mill in Prato, Italy, to up-cycle cashmere sweaters that would normally end up in landfills. The new process uses fewer dyes and chemicals than traditional cashmere production, resulting in a 50 percent smaller carbon footprint.
