So About That $83 Million California Mansion in 'Succession' Season 4

Early in the Succession season four premiere, we find most of the Roy siblings—Shiv (Sarah Snook), Kendall (Jeremy Strong), and Roman Roy (Kieran Culkin)—convening at an unsurprisingly luxurious modern home tucked into California's Santa Monica Mountains. While it’s unclear who actually owns the house in the show, the real-life location certainly didn’t go unnoticed as they plotted their next business move.

Located in Los Angeles's Pacific Palisades neighborhood on San Onofre Drive, the approximately 20,000-square-foot mansion is the ultimate blend of indoor-outdoor living and high-tech features. The six-bedroom, 18-bathroom home—built by real estate developer Ardie Tavangarian in 2020—was constructed of woods, metals, stones, and board-formed concrete that were sourced from around the world. For a short period, the property was available to lease for $350,000 a month before it was reportedly sold to a young tech CEO in 2021 for a cool $83 million.

Some of the home’s incredible amenities include a chef’s kitchen designed by Nobu, a 20-seat theater, outdoor cinema, an infinity pool, zen gardens, a zen spa, and a private car gallery. Other more unexpected features include a primary bedroom that’s accessible via a retinal scanner (and also has a custom roof that retracts for stargazing) and a ballistic safe room, according to Williams & Williams Estates Group. As far as locations go for getting away from their father but still remaining in the country, this estate makes for a pretty nice pick for the Roy siblings. We're eager to find out if it'll continue to serve as their base or if they'll abandon it in favor of a new meeting spot as the final season progresses. Either way, we're sure the locations they frequent will be nothing short of opulent as they traverse the East and West Coasts and even head to Norway.
