Our goal every summer is to spend as much time in or on the water as possible. We have a feeling that we’re going to exceed last year’s amount, thanks to this new motorized inflatable boat. It turns out that you don’t need thousands of dollars to have your boat!
The motorized inflatable boat comes from Hammacher Schlemmer, the same brand that created the giant inflatable Twister game. The boat is white with three stripes down the side. It was designed to carry a single passenger and it weighs just 10 pounds, so it’ll be easy to handle. The seat has a backrest for comfortable lounging, and there are two clear underwater viewing ports near the feet, so you can explore what’s below you.
“This is the 8-foot-long inflatable boat that conveys a single passenger via two electric motors for leisurely aquatic recreation,” the description says.
It has two inflation points, one in the bow and one in the seat, that attach to an electric air pump. The 24-volt battery allows for up to 2 hours of power, so that’ll give you plenty of time to cruise through the bay or lake.
