7 TV Shows and Movies to Watch This Week Instead of Holiday Shopping

We're only 10 days away from Christmas, so I'm sure you have a lot of holiday shopping to do. But what if you just...procrastinated on that? Just for a few days? There are a few holiday-themed TV shows and movies airing this week that deserve your undivided attention. And a few non-holiday-themed ones too! I mean, come on, what's more appealing: braving the outside cold to buy your mom a candle she'll use only once, or watching a Netflix comedy special? Thought so.

Below, all the TV shows and movies to watch this week:

Soundtrack Looking for a show over the holiday break that is like This Is Us meets Glee meets Modern Love meets La La Land? You’ll find it in Netflix’s new musical-romance dramedy, Soundtrack, created by Joshua Safran (the same guy who happened to executive-produce and write Gossip Girl—and he’s producing the reboot). The series stars Jenna Dewan, Christina Milian, and Madeleine Stowe, but safe to say you’ll know everyone’s name by the time you finish this highly bingeable series that Safran says plays “like an ’80s or ’90s movie.” Sign us up.
