As the countdown to summer begins, the anxiety around your summer body making its debut increases. Everyone has experienced the winter weight gain and knows how challenging it can be to shed those kilos in time for summer. While you're working hard at the gym to burn your fat, these foods can help you speed up the metabolism and burn that belly fat in no time.
Contrary to the popular belief that eggs increase fat, egg whites actually help build muscle which then burns the fat and helps tone your body. They also help you avoid overeating as they make you feel full. You can have them served as scrambled, egg whites or omelettes to maintain that healthy momentum.
Oatmeals are packed with high fibres and a good amount of protein, which makes them a whole grain. You can either have them with milk or just buy a ready-to-eat oatmeal pack and you are good to go. They are a useful part of a safe and healthy weight loss plan.
Nuts are crunchy, easy to carry, high in healthy fats, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Unsalted almonds and walnuts are most common for helping weight loss. You can eat them on their own, or just blend them with salads for a crunchy bite.
4. Greek Yogurt
It contains probiotics to help keep your system in check, along with some calcium intake. In India, it is probably easier to make greek yogurt for yourself than to buy it.
Just add additional powdered milk to the milk you’re seeking to ferment–this will both thicken the yogurt and increase its protein content. Add fruits and nuts to it or eat it in the form of raita, which we know all Indians love to make for a meal that is more filling and prevents hunger longer.
Radish are considered as a substitute for rice and bread because they are starchy vegetables. So, either one can eat them with a pinch of salt, take them in a salad or better yet, just boil them up.
6. Black Beans
Beans add to the feeling of fullness as they stay in our digestive system longer, thus aiding weight loss. They also contain abundant soluble fibre which can lower cholesterol levels.
They contain good fats. Avocados have omega-3 fatty acids which provide anti-inflammatory benefits, thus reducing the belly fat. So go to the grocery store and toss them in your bag, as avocados are delicious and healthy at same time.
