Kim Kardashian Loves Murder Shows, Is Addicted to Artificial Sweetener & Enjoys Slow Jamz
To help promote her upcoming book of selfies, aptly titled Selfish, Kim Kardashian gave Harper’s Bazaar an exclusive, inside look into her personal life.
And sure, you’re probably thinking, ‘Huh? Kim Kardashian’s entire existence is already documented on a TV show. I know everything there is to know about how she spends her days.’ But you’d be very wrong. For example: Can you name the first thing KK and Kanye West talk about every single morning? Or the number of Equal packets she takes in her iced tea? Or which flavor of Haagen-Dazs she prefers above ALL others?
Didn’t think so.
Behold, the seven most fascinating revelations you never thought you needed to know about Kim Kardashian.
Sometimes, she and Kanye go running together. Other times, they just talk about it. Then kisses.
“The first person I talk to is Kanye because he’s right there next to me in bed. I’ll say, “Do you want to go for a run?” And he usually does. Or he won’t because he has a workout, so we’ll just talk about that, then kisses.”
She works out to Slow Jamz. She also still has an iPod.
“I like to listen to music while I work out, but I don’t need it to pump me up or get energized. It’s weird—I’ll put my iPod on shuffle and listen to slow R&B songs or even classical music, which most people think is so bizarre. I don’t need anything fast. When I go to Barry’s Bootcamp, they put on dance music or house music sometimes, and that slows me down.”
She was taking selfies way before they were #selfies.
“I started taking pictures years ago, around 2006, and I kept them, all organized on my computer in folders. We didn’t call them selfies back then. I had no idea what I was saving, just memories, really.”
She shares your SVU addiction.
“I don’t watch a whole lot of TV or movies, but when I do it’s typically murder shows or Dateline NBC.”
She prefers keeping her photo technology at an arm’s length.
“I don’t have a selfie stick; I just take photos with my iPhone.”
She likes some iced tea with her fake sugar.
“I used to drink a ton of iced tea, but I’ve cut back. I had the craziest addiction to Equal—I’d put 10 Equals in every iced tea. My sister Kourtney would always say, ‘You can’t have that much sweetener!’ I’ve trained myself to have just one iced tea a week, and I’m down to three Equals.”
Her favorite thing in life is North West Kanye West #selfies store-bought ice cream.
“Haagen-Dazs is my biggest indulgence—their Dulce de Leche flavor is my favorite thing in life.”
