7-Eleven Sells Cotton Candy That Doesn't Dissolve So It Can Be A Topping On Your Slurpee

There's nothing quite like a cold 7-Eleven Slurpee on a hot summer day, or on any day, for that matter. Slurpees come in all sorts of flavors and 7-Eleven even has toppings like cotton candy you can buy to really customize your drink.

The toppings were spotted by @SnackBetch at their local 7-Eleven. Little packages of cotton candy, specifically labeled as a "Slurpee cotton candy topper" are meant to be put on top of your Slurpee once it's poured so it can add even more flavor and to the already powerful drink as you sip.

The packaging also says that the cotton candy floats and therefore won't dissolve in the Slurpee, so it's more of a garnish rather than something that will mix into your drink and change the taste completely. That means if you order a Coke or cherry Slurpee, you won't be adding any sour blue raspberry into it; instead, both flavors will exist harmoniously parallel. I'd think that the cotton candy would also add a nice break from the cold Slurpee, so you could take bites of it in between sips to help out with your inevitable brain freeze.

While it's unclear if there are other Slurpee toppers out there, I wouldn't be surprised if there are more cotton candy flavors that can be used for this same reason. Vanilla or cherry toppers would be fun to try out with popular Slurpee flavors to find the best combo, so I'll be penciling a 7-Eleven trip into my schedule.
