Performances aside, the MTV VMAs are known for celeb's dazzling, and, often, jaw-dropping looks. Lady Gaga led this year's event with a few head-turning outfit changes. Miley Cyrus made a big return to the show this year with a see-through gown over a two-piece.

The singer gave fans a blast from the past when she channeled her 2013 "Wrecking Ball" music video while performing her new single, "Midnight Sky."
Lady Gaga took the stage with a few interesting looks.
