Lisa Rinna shared a nude Instagram photo in support of Paulina Porizkova’s #OldandUgly movement.
After sharing that she was called too “old and ugly” to pose in a swimsuit at 57, Porizkova was flooded with images of older women confidently showing off their bodies.
“I am 1 year older than Paulina. Here’s my ‘old and ugly’ ✨,” Rinna wrote at the time.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and beauty icon Lisa Rinna spiced things up with just one Instagram post. Inspired by Paulina Porizkova’s response to a hater who said she was too “old and ugly” to pose in a swimsuit, Rinna took it to the next level by unabashedly posing nude—and posting it to Instagram.
In the photo, Rinna, then 58, holds a mirror while curling her eyelashes wearing nothing but transparent black knee-high stockings and heels. Her hair is swept into vintage-style pin curls, and her abs? Well, they speak for themselves. “@paulinaporizkov posed in a tiny swimsuit, and they called her old and ugly,” she captioned the post. “I am 1 year older than Paulina. Here’s my ‘old and ugly’ ✨.”
Needless to say, Rinna’s followers were wowed by the stunning shot. And they loved that Porizkova inspired such an empowering movement. “Ha! That’s about the last two words anyone can use on you, love! You are GOALS and so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” one person commented. “Consider the internet broken 🔥🥵,” another added. Porizkova herself even commented, writing: “Holy cow Lisa, you just blow everyone right out of the water. There are not enough hot emojis here 😂.”
Porizkova, then 57, accidentally spawned what has been dubbed the #oldandugly movement when she called out a commenter who said she “must be in so much pain” to be posing in a swimsuit at her age, and that “getting old and ugly is hardest on the pretty people.” Porizkova rebuked the ageist insult, writing: “There is no such thing as ugly and old. Only shortsighted and ignorant.”
The clapback inspired people around the world to share their own empowered poses in solidarity. swimsuit shots, beach poses, hiking candids, and more poured in on Twitter and Instagram, and Porizkova was touched by the floodgates she unintentionally opened.
“Todays thread has been my absolute favorite of all time,” the former supermodel tweeted. “Thank you all you ‘old and ugly’ women (and a few men) showing the world how much we ‘suffer’ at in our old age. You’re all breathtaking!”
As for Rinna, her nearly nude photo wasn’t her only submission to the movement. She also posed in a green swimsuit and bucket hat on her Instagram Story, writing: “@paulinaporizkov posted a photo of herself in a swimsuit and she was called old and ugly for doing so. Well I’m 58 and here is my ‘old and ugly.’”
More recently, Rinna shared another revealing photo on Instagram via a nude mirror selfie posted to her Instagram Story. She said the snap was inspired by Moira Rose, a character from Schitt’s Creek. She wrote a short message to go along with the spicy snap: “Moira Rose says you should take as many naked pics of yourself while you still can and celebrate it,” Rinna captioned the selfie. “OK Moira.” Rinna continued, writing: “HAPPY SUNDAY.”
The wrong troll clearly messed with the wrong group of women. And the aftermath couldn’t be more magical.
