At 56, Elizabeth Hurley Rocks a White Tee, Underwear, and an Ankle Brace in New IG Post Revealing Injury

Elizabeth Hurley, 56, revealed she tore ligaments in her ankle in November and is still struggling to heal.
In an effort to get better before her next film, the actress checked into an Austrian wellness resort for a “detox.”
“I’m here now and shall report back! ❤️,” she wrote on Instagram.
Elizabeth Hurley has spent the last few months resting and relaxing after injuring her ankle in November. Unfortunately, her recovery hasn’t moved as quickly as she’d hoped, so she’s checking into a wellness center to kick things into high gear.
The actress, 56, shared the news with Instagram over the weekend, explaining that she still can’t put much pressure on her foot and has struggled to maintain a regular fitness routine. “Lying on the sofa for two months, followed by a month of limping around in an air boot, meant that I basically became a slug,” she wrote. “I don’t weigh myself but my jeans were objecting violently to being done up so something had to be done.”
With a new movie on the horizon, she decided to visit VIVAMAYR Maria Wörth, a holistic luxury wellness resort in Austria. According to the resort’s website, its ‘personalized health concept’ promises to help visitors “find your way to long-term health and a new quality of life” with the latest medical technologies and modern Mayr medicine.
“I’m here now and shall report back! ❤️,” Hurley concluded.
A little while later, Hurley shared another photo in which she posed on a windowsill wearing a white t-shirt, underwear, and a brace on her left foot. “Here I go- ready for the big detox,” she captioned the post.
Even while wearing a brace, the model looked stunning. “Yaaay! I'm sorry about your foot. Relax and take care of yourself. You deserve it,” one person commented. “Still beautiful as always,” another added. “AWESOME ALWAYS, ankle and all bb 💖🤙,” someone else wrote.
In her recent shares, Hurley has longed for a vacation, often posting swimsuit shots from beachy days passed—and this health news explains why.
In a January 22 photo, she rocked a hot pink bikini, posing in a pool with a giant flamingo float behind her. “Yes, I could be in a swimming pool with a pink flamingo….. or I could be snuggled up with my doggies in Blighty, eating a Terry’s chocolate orange and about to watch the final season of Ozark….. you decide 🤔,” she wrote.
On February 1, she showed off a suit from her swimwear line, Elizabeth Hurley Beach, when in reality, she was hunkered down mid-winter in the United Kingdom. “I’m wearing a Sunshine Bikini and a white, cheesecloth Beach Shirt today, on my pretend vacation in the Maldives,” she wrote. “I’m wearing ten layers of fleece in my real life, in Herefordshire 😉.”
Although VIVAMAYR’s location isn’t exactly tropical, it will likely scratch that vacation itch for Hurley, all while helping her heal. In the meantime, we’ll be glued to her Instagram for updates!
