At 51, Jennifer Garner Swears By This Cleanser for ‘Young and Vibrant’ Skin

Whether Jennifer Garner is walking the red carpet or showing off her strength in an intense workout video, the 51-year-old’s skin looks flawless. While she’s shared her eye cream that “plumps” and the foundation she loves, we’re left wondering about the face wash she uses to achieve her radiant complexion. Luckily, the star sat down with Prevention to share the newest addition to her skincare routine: Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Hydrating Gel Cleanser.

Garner explained that while the newly released product is a recent addition to her skincare routine, it’s become a fast favorite. “This one is staying,” she says of the product. “This is going to be [a product] where I have one in my shower and one by my sink, and a little baby of it ready to go on the road when I travel.” The star says she “loves” that the cleanser is fragrance-free, and that it’s “great for sensitive skin.”

“This is as good as it gets for cleansers. It’s repairing your skin as it cleanses,” Garner says, before explaining the benefits of hyaluronic acid (the product’s superstar ingredient). “We all have hyaluronic acid in our skin,” she said, explaining that it helps skin look “young and vibrant” but that it “diminishes in your skin” with age. Next, she explains that using hyaluronic acid-infused products helps to “replenish” skin. “It takes the moisture and it brings it to the skin’s surface and locks it in,” Garner says. “So it really does add a dewy look, or a more filled-in look.”

It’s not hard to see why the actress adores the cleanser. It’s formulated with not only hyaluronic acid but also with glycerin to deeply hydrate the skin. It also produces a subtle lather that offers a gentle cleanse to remove dirt, oil, and debris while maintaining a healthy skin barrier. As Garner explains, the product is safe for those with sensitive skin as it is fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, and non-comedogenic.

Reviewers have great things to say about the product too—it already has over 2,400 five-star ratings on Amazon. “I have pretty sensitive skin and this stuff is like liquid gold,” wrote one reviewer. “It doesn’t break me out and no matter how much I use or how often I use it my skin still feels normal.”
