1. The “Astronauts” Had Protection

When the Chanel rocket ship blasted off in the Grand Palais, it came with flames, sparks, and tons of smoke. Models closest to the launch site put on huge reflective sunglasses—like ski visors but chicer—to shield their eyes from the glare (while still looking amazing.)

2. Lily-Rose Depp’s Boyfriend Walked

Bébé Depp modeled for Chanel’s recent couture collection, but this time it was her boyfriend, Ash Stymest, who stormed the catwalk. Unlike the other stone-faced models, this 22-year old Brit couldn’t stop scanning the audience, grinning, winking, and eventually spotting his Insta-famous GF in the front row.

3. The Gift Bag Was Worth About $150

Every single guest was given a black drawstring pouch filled with show makeup, including three Rouge Coco glosses and two nail polishes—one in a lush red and the other a grayish blue called Washed Denim. Merci, Chanel!

4. The F-Row Was a Living Chanel Ad

Among the fabulous faces who arrived for the stylish space race were Pharrell, Cara Delevingne, Alice Dellal, and Vanessa Paradis—all past or current models for the famous French brand.

5. Space Men Invaded Après Show

Directly after Lagerfeld took his bow, a group of men in pristine all-white space suits began to dismantle the set and clear the crowd. Of course, they were a bit distracted by bloggers trying to take selfies with them. Oops.
