5 Mom-Approved Grocery Store After School Snacks

5 Mom-Approved Grocery Store After School Snacks

It’s that time of year again! Kiddos are back in school (or schooling from home) and all that learning certainly works up an appetite. Nicole McLaughlin, our resident mom and star of our Mom Vs. video series, knows that parents and kids are extra busy right now—that’s why she tested out all the grocery store snacks she could get her hands on. Here are some of her favorites:

Pizza Pringles

Listen, we never said this list would include exclusively healthy snacks. Sometimes you and your family are in the mood to indulge and that’s OK. Since Nicole’s kids specifically requested pizza-flavored treats, she picked up these classic chips—and she definitely wasn’t disappointed. Buy 'em in bulk here.

Here’s another not-so-nutritious (but absolutely delicious) winner. At roughly 250 calories per bar, though, there are much worse choices out there. Cinnamon lovers will go nuts over these grab-and-go snacks. Buy 'em in bulk here.

Hormel Natural Choice Wraps

If you’re looking for something a little more well-rounded for your kids to snack on after school, check out these deli meat and cheese wraps in the refrigerator aisle. Plus, they’re protein-packed: The ham and white cheddar variety boasts 15 grams per serving.

Uncrustables Ham and Cheese Roll-Ups

Who doesn’t love this lunchbox favorite? Uncrustables’ take on the deli sandwich packs a lighter protein punch than Hormel, but it might be a bit more appealing to picky eaters.

Oh Snap! Pickles

Why do moms love this trendy pickle line? There’s no added brine—so they’re less likely to produce a sticky mess. Kids who are hesitant to eat veggies may be more open to Oh Snap!’s adorably packaged fat- and gluten-free options, but you may want to avoid them if you’re watching your family’s sodium intake.
