Swim Search finalist Saje Nicole made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2021 when she was photographed by Yu Tsai in Atlantic City. The Haitian-American model attended one year of nursing school before pivoting careers and pursuing her modeling dreams. She grew up inspired by SI Swimsuit legends like Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum, and was fascinated by how they could exude so much confidence through the pages of a physical magazine.
The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native made diversity and inclusion a priority when she first broke into the industry and has worked with major brands like Lululemon and SKIMS. Nicole also dabbled in acting through her role in the 2019 film Beach Bum alongside Matthew McConaughey and Snoop Dogg. She also had a short stint on Klum’s Making The Cut.
“I come from a Caribbean background, Haitian and Turks and Caicos, so we’re very spicy, very loud, very unapologetic,” she told SI Swimsuit. “And so what makes me my most authentic self is always connecting to my roots. Especially in this industry, in this society, not letting other peoples opinions shape me.”
The mom of one is also the creator of The BluPrnt, an online community focused on fitness and spirituality.
“Be bold. You only have one life, so take the time to figure out what you want to do and how to bless others with that gift every single day,” the Saje With Me podcast host said. “Cool to me is authentic. The girl that loves her freckles and shows them off, the teacher that lifts her students up and educates them, or the boy that decided to sing instead of becoming a lawyer. I think the coolest thing a person can do is show up as their authentic selves. There is so much beauty in that.”
