5 Facts You Probably Didn’t Know About Zendaya’s Boyfriend, Jacob Elordi
We’ve grown to love Zendaya over the years after seeing her in The Greatest Showman, Spider-Man: Far From Home and the HBO hit TV show, Euphoria. And who can forget her amazing style? (We’re still not over this pantsuit.) But when it comes to relationships, she’s been pretty private about them...until now.
The Euphoria star was recently linked to costar Jacob Elordi and we’re dying to know all the details on this new rumored relationship. In the past, she’s shut down any confirmations and stated they were just friends but recent pictures of the duo prove otherwise.
While we know about the wonders of Zendaya, who is this mystery man who has reportedly become her beau? Here’s everything you need know about Jacob Elordi.
1. OK, Who the heck is Zendaya’s boyfriend, Jacob Elordi?
Elordi is an Australian actor who got his big break playing Noah Flynn in Netflix’s The Kissing Booth. He also stars alongside Zendaya in Euphoria as bad boy Nate Jacobs. No word on when Euphoria is returning for its second season, but he just finished filming The Kissing Booth 2 in South Africa.
2. How did the lovebirds meet?
They met on the Euphoria set. Multiple reports say they got close while filming the first season.
"Zendaya is an amazing creative, you know? She's super dope to work with," he told GQ Australia. "She’s an incredible artist and a very caring person to all of us. But we’re all really close. There is not one weak link [on] that show. We’re spent so much time together and everyone is just so cool to work with."
3. What’s his dating history?
Elordi dated The Kissing Booth costar Joey King for a year before splitting in 2018. Although they are in the process of filming the sequel, there’s no bad blood between the two.
"It was fine. It was good. I think for me because I am very much a frickin’ huge fan of The Kissing Booth myself...I’m a fan of how it resonated with the world, it resonated with me, so going back and doing that and making the sacrifice of what, obviously, everyone is think about and what I’m not outwardly addressing but what I’m kind of on the sly addressing making those sacrifices was totally worth it," King said about working on the love scenes with her ex on the Mood with Lauren Elizabeth podcast.
4. But seriously, when did Zendaya and Jacob start dating?
They made headlines after being spotted on vacation in Greece along with Zendaya’s family back in August. (Talk about a relationship milestone!) Since then, the duo have been squashing rumors with Elordi even saying Zendaya was like his sister in an interview with GQ Australia.
But despite the denials, the costars have been dating for months, according to E! News.
"They have been inseparable since last summer and have been making time for each other in between projects," the source told E! News. "Jacob has met Zendaya’s family and everyone adores him. They have a lot of fun together and have a lot in common."
5. Has their relationship been confirmed though?
Aside from the couple being spotted recently out and about in the Big Apple (including a snap of Elordi adorably kissing the top of Zendaya’s head), they haven’t publicly announced their new relationship.
On January 30, Zendaya presented Elordi with the Rising Star honor at the American Australian Association Arts Awards, where she called him her "best friend" and it seems she’s sticking with that label, at least for now
They have also been attending events together, going on movie dates and even spending Thanksgiving with Elordi’s parents. So we have high hopes they’ll put the rumors to rest and just give us the gift of an official confirmation.
