TEREZ PAYLOR: OK, so the San Francisco 49ers have completed their draft, and we've got a pretty good sense for how they're going to try to get back to the Super Bowl and finish the job this time. And the thing that kind of gives us that sense is how they attacked their first two draft picks. With the first pick, they took Javon Kinlaw, who's basically going to end up being a replacement for DeForest Buckner. And with their second pick, they took Brandon Aiyuk, from Arizona State, a receiver who's basically going to end up being a replacement for Emmanuel Sanders.

At the end of the day, the 49ers need those guys to come along quickly, because I actually don't have a whole lot of doubt about Trent Williams, how quickly he's going to assimilate into this team. Obviously, the retirement of Joe Staley would really mess up their dynamic ordinarily. But Trent Williams is a all-decade caliber tackle. I believe he's a Super Bowl caliber tackle. This is plug and play, especially with his history with Kyle Shanahan.

So if the 49ers want to get back to the Super Bowl, they're going to need those two rookies at the top of the draft to contribute immediately.
