Welp, hello, everyone. We made it through another episode of The Last of Us (barely). Last night's episode — titled "Long, Long Time," and directed by Peter Hoar and written by Craig Mazin — is a perfect episode of TV, and I won't be taking any questions at this time.
The Last of Us Episode 3 featured the show's first departure from the beloved video games as we watched Bill (Nick Offerman) and Frank's (Murray Bartlett) incredible love story play out over the years. They survived the end of the world by finding each other, and it was beautiful.
On top of the Emmy Award–worthy performances from Offerman and Bartlett, The Last of Us also dedicated Episode 3 to actor Annie Wersching, who died at age 45 from cancer yesterday. Among her other iconic roles in shows like The Vampire Diaries, Runaways, and 24, she notably played Tess in The Last of Us video games.
