40 Strict Rules The Royal Children Have To Follow

Their birth must be announced to the public.

They have to be baptized.

They must wear the Honiton christening gown.

They must curtsy to the Queen.

They can't call the Queen Grandma.

They must have a passport.

They have to (eventually) get a driver's license.

They have to attend royal engagements.

They have to go through etiquette training.

They have to join their parents on royal tours.

Two heirs can't travel together.

They greet the public with a royal wave.

They (usually) learn a second language.

Boys should wear shorts...

...And girls should wear dresses.

Siblings tend to match in public.

Playing outside is encouraged.

They don't eat baby food.

Shellfish is off the table.

They have to attend school...

...But where they go isn't set in stone.

They must remain impartial.

They aren't allowed to play Monopoly.

They have to serve in the bridal party at royal weddings.

They have to listen to their nanny.

They have to adhere to security measures.

They can accept gifts...

...But they usually can't keep the gifts.

Posture is important.

They can't wear black to daytime events...

...But they must always have a black outfit on hand.

They're expected to serve in the military.

They have their own table at Christmas lunch.

They can't open any presents on Christmas day.
