The camera:

Without question, the new iPhone’s camera is its best quality. According to Apple, the iPhone 11 Pro and Max come with three 12-megapixel cameras in the back, to work together for a main lens, an ultra-wide-angle, and a telephoto lens. That telephoto also comes with 0.5x to 2x zoom. The cameras also come with night mode, making it easier to shoot in low-light situations. The iPhone 11 comes with an impressive dual 12-megapixel wide and telephoto lens as well.

For the front camera, Apple upgraded the newest phones with a “TrueDepth selfie camera” to take 12 megapixels photos. It also can take wider photos to fit even more people into selfies.

All three of the new phones can now also shoot up to 4K video at 60 frames per second for truly stunning videos of your next vacation.

The battery life:

All three of the new iPhones come with the longest battery life ever in any iPhone, which means you can travel longer and further without needing a charge. The iPhone 11 lasts up to 1 hour longer than iPhone XR, while the Max lasts up to 5 hours longer than iPhone XS Max, and the Pro lasts up to 4 hours longer than iPhone XS. All three phones also support wireless charging.

The water resistance:

Travelers tend to get in some pretty dirty situations while on the go. Be it splashing in the water along the seashore, driving through mud puddles on Safari, or getting caught in the rain on some tropical islands, it’s key to have a phone that can withstand a little water. Luckily, this new suite of iPhones does just that. The iPhone 11 is water-resistant in up to two meters of water for up to 30 minutes. The iPhone Pro and the Max are water-resistant in up to four meters of water for up to 30 minutes. All three are also dust-resistant as well.

The screen size and resolution:

The iPhones come with standard sizing, including a 5.8-inch display for the iPhone 11 and 6.5-inch OLED displays on the Pro and Max. However, the phones now come with what Apple calls "Super Retina XDR" display, which is dreamy for travelers who love to watch shows and movies on the go. That’s because the Super Retina XDE supports HDR 10 with Dolby Vision, making each frame as crisp as it can possibly be.

The iPhone 11 will cost $699, which marks a $50 price drop from the iPhone XR. The iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max will cost from $999 and $1,099 respectively. The phones will begin shipping on Sept. 20. Want to make your iPhone even more useful on the go? Here are 25 apps every traveler needs to have on their phone right now.
