Traeger created the first pellet grill in the ’80s and is still the leading brand in the category. The Pro-Series 575 is a mid-size pellet grill that produces plenty of smoke for a consistent temperature and a smoky taste for brisket and ribs. The app and included meat probe let you monitor and adjust temperatures for precise cooking without opening the lid and losing heat.
In testing, Ford noted the grill had “remarkably even heat” and could smoke at lower temperatures than most other grills for fans of the “low and slow” cooking method. It’s user-friendly, easy to move around the yard, and delivers consistently tasty results.
Weber’s Spirit II E-210 is a classic gas grill that’s compact, easy to assemble, and user-friendly. It has great heat distribution thanks to the cast-iron grid and its burner tube configuration. The side table folds down for easy storage or cooking in compact spaces and cleaning is fast and easy. It’s perfect for both everyday grilling and relaxed weekend hangs.
Cuisinart’s Roll-Away Gas Grill will make you the hero of any tailgate or campsite. It folds down completely so you can roll it behind you like a carry-on and can be hung on a wall for low-key storage. Two small shelves swing out to provide a staging area while cooking and the 18x13-inch cast-iron grate can hold up to 12 burgers—so, while small, it’s certainly up to the task of feeding a good-sized crew.
The Smokey Mountain Cooker from Weber is your standard water smoker but differs with its heavyweight, porcelain-enameled steel construction. A heat shield to protect your deck or lawn and a cover are included. The large door lets you add fuel and wood chips easily on longer smoking sessions, and the three air events allow for temperature control. This basic smoker takes some experience but produces great results for those who see smoking as the superior cooking method.
Lastly, Camp Chef’s Rainier Stove is super compact and versatile. The cooktop has a stovetop, grill, and griddle to cook anything you want with an impressive 18,000 BTUs. It runs off 16-ounce portable propane tanks but can hook up to a full size if you plan on using it for longer trips. The small footprint of the stove makes it ideal to keep in your car or camper and gives you different cooking methods in a convenient package.
Grilling doesn’t have to be a summer-only activity—especially for those with mild winters— and Black Friday is a great time to snag one on sale. Take advantage of savings and enjoy some tasty results. And don’t fret: We’ll keep this article updated as we find more discounts, so stay tuned.
