🚨Warning: There are MASSIVE — and I mean massive — spoilers ahead for Eternals!🚨

Hi, hello. If you're here, I'm assuming you're like me and you just want to know more about Marvel's Eternals. So, to celebrate the newest MCU movie, here are all the details I noticed:

If you're new to these posts, welcome, and I apologize for all of my nerdy yelling! If you're returning after my WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Loki, AND What If...? Easter eggs/details posts, thanks so much for coming back!

Now, since this MCU movie is currently only in theaters, I can't go frame-by-frame and screenshot exact details, so please enjoy some of my very lively descriptions.

1.First, the opening text crawl in the movie starts with "In the beginning," which is the same way The Book of Genesis begins in the Bible, making this a brilliant nod to how the Eternals were around at the beginning of time.

2.Also in the opening text crawl, it mentions the "six singularities," which is a nod to the Infinity Stones. In Guardians of the Galaxy, the Collector says the Infinity Stones predate the universe, but now we learn that Arishem came before them.

3.The Eternals' ship that we see throughout the film is named The Domo, which is a nod to a Marvel comic book character. In the comics, Domo is an Eternal who works on Olympia and answers to Zuras, a Prime Eternal.

4.The ring that Sersi gives Dane at his birthday party features the symbol of the Black Knight. In the comics, Dane becomes the Black Knight and even works with the Avengers.

More on this later when we talk about the second post-credits scene.

5.Back in Sersi's apartment after fighting a Deviant, you can hear a news broadcast talking about the earthquake from earlier that day and how they think it could be connected to The Blip.

6.Also, one of the news networks shown throughout Eternals is WHiH, which has been featured in numerous MCU movies and shows, most recently in WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

7.When Sersi, Sprite, and Ikaris travel on Kingo's private plane, you can actually spot Captain America's original shield hanging on the wall behind Ikaris.

This probably isn't the original, since we saw that one in the Captain America exhibit at the Smithsonian during The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

8.In fact, Kingo's love of Captain America seems to show up while he's shooting his latest Bollywood film. You can see actors in the background holding Captain America–like shields.

9.While Sersi learns that Olympia doesn't really exist, it actually does in the comics. Olympia is home to the Eternals and was first mentioned in Eternals #5 in 1976.

10.Mahd Wy'ry is something that is taken directly from the comics. In fact, in Avengers #361, Sersi begins to exhibit unpredictable behavior and Mahd Wy'ry is first brought up.

11.Also, in the comics, Dane bonds with Sersi in order to help her through the Mahd Wy'ry, which is similar to Gilgamesh and Thena in Eternals.

12.Kingo's American Sign Language name sign in Eternals is based on his powers and being a Bollywood dancer, but it's also the name sign for Lauren Ridloff's youngest son, Wyatt.

13.And Makkari's ASL name sign is based on her speed, and it's done close to the ear because Makkari wears a lot of earrings in the film. Makkari's name sign is also the name sign for Lauren's husband, Douglas.

You can watch Lauren teach the rest of the cast their characters' ASL name signs below:

14.Kingo mentions how Sprite, Ikaris, and Sersi's dynamic is similar to Tinkerbell, Peter Pan, and Wendy from Peter Pan, and in the Marvel comics, it's revealed that J.M. Barry based Peter Pan on Sprite.

15.When Sprite mentions Steve and Tony, she refers to Steve as "Captain Rogers" instead of Captain America, which is a great detail that ties into the fact that Sprite and the Eternals were around during WWII and likely knew him back then.

16.Kingo says that Thor hasn't been returning his calls and that they know each other. This is a nod to a comic book storyline in The Mighty Thor where the difference between Celestials and Greek Gods is given and Thor interacts with the Eternals.

17.When Sersi calls Dane, she encourages him to reconcile with his uncle. In the comics, Dane's uncle is John Garrett, who wielded the Ebony Blade.

18.The Celestial at the center of the Earth is named Tiamut. In the comics, Tiamut is known as the Dreaming Celestial, and there's actually a storyline where he decides he cannot destroy humanity.

This is similar to Sersi and the Eternals trying to find a way to save humanity after learning about Tiamut and the Emergence.

19.When Ikaris and Sersi visit Phastos's home, he introduces them as Isaac and Sylvie, which are aliases the duo have used in the comic books before.

20.Phastos and Ben's son, Jack, is likely named after comic book artist and writer Jack Kirby, who created the Eternals comic books in 1976.

A lot of Jack Kirby's designs from the comics appear to have inspired some of the architecture we see throughout Eternals.

21.When Sersi and Ikaris are spying on Phastos and Jack, Ikaris hides behind a Star Wars coloring book. Also, Jack's room is filled with Star Wars posters.

22.Not super hidden if you were paying attention, but there are several references to DC Comics throughout the film. Ikaris is compared to Superman and Karun is compared to Bruce Wayne's butler, Alfred.

23.Back on the ship, you can notice that Makkari is surrounded by a ton of great treasures, one of which is the Holy Grail. This actually ties to Black Knight from the Marvel comics and his connection to King Arthur.

24.Of course, Druig points out that Makkari ended up getting the Emerald Tablet that she coveted centuries ago. The Emerald Tablet is said to be similar to the philosopher's stone and is the basis for alchemy.

25.When the rest of the Eternals reunite with Makkari, you can see that she's wearing an H.G. Wells shirt. Of course, Wells is most notable for writing War of the Worlds.

26.Thena finds Excalibur on The Domo, and Camelot and King Arthur are actually mentioned in the Marvel comics quite a bit. In fact, Camelot connects to Black Knight's history.

27.Phastos's idea for a Uni-Mind is taken directly from the comic books. In the comics, the Eternals realize they can join their will and intelligence into one powerful entity, just like in the movie.

28.During the final battle, Ikaris breaks free of Phastos's restraints and shoots energy beams out of his eyes and into the sky. This is very similar to the cover of Eternals #6 from 2008, which features Ikaris in the same pose.

29.Thena battling Kro, a Deviant who is voiced by Bill Skarsgård, is a pairing taken directly from the Marvel comics. In the comics, Thena has a relationship with Kro, which is frowned upon considering he's a Deviant.

30.Of course, Ikaris's final moments feature him flying into the sun, which is a reference to the Icarus myth about how he flew too close to the sun and the sun's heat melted the wax on his fake wings.

31.And in the Marvel comics, Ikaris does have a human son, who suffers the same fate. In that storyline, Phastos and Makkari help give Ikaris's son a pair of wings and he uses them prematurely to go find his father.

32.In the mid-credits scene, we are introduced to Pip the Troll, a character taken directly from the comics. While Pip is seen with Eros here, in the comics he's often associated with Adam Warlock, who will be played by Will Poulter in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

In Eternals, Pip is voiced by Patton Oswalt.

33.Of course, the mid-credits scene introduces us to Eros, aka Starfox, who is played by Harry Styles. In the comics, Eros is an Eternal from Titan and Thanos's brother. His powers include being able to control people's emotions.

Besides being linked to the Eternals, Starfox also works with the Avengers and has been seen in numerous She-Hulk comics. Of course, She-Hulk will be played by Tatiana Maslany in an upcoming Disney+ series.

34.In the post-credits scene, Dane opens a box that contains a sword, aka the Ebony Blade. In the comics, Dane — as Black Knight — wields the sword, which is basically an evil alternative to Excalibur.

35.And finally, the voice you hear at the very end of Dane's post-credits scene is Mahershala Ali, who will be playing Blade in an upcoming MCU movie. In the comics, Blade is an iconic vampire hunter.
