The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!
Ever since the hit Christmas movie Elf hit the screens back in 2003 (how has it been so long ago!?), we’ve all had a little more laughter and Christmas spirit in our lives because of Buddy the Elf. His journey from discovering he was human and meeting his real dad had us all smiling and laughing, deeply touched by his childlike sense of wonder. He introduced us all to Santa’s Workshop and what it’s like to be the biggest person living there. He took us on a journey through the seven levels of the candy cane forest, past the sea of swirly twirly gumdrops and through the Lincoln Tunnel to experience Christmas in the big city. He impressed us with his ability to chug a bottle of soda, eat Christmas candy and maple syrup in his spaghetti, and with his superior Christmas crafting skills. It's definitely on the list of some of our favorite Christmas movies of all time, and every time we watch it, we're reminded of the kid (and elf) inside us all.
This year, take a cue from Buddy and decorate your home with fantastic crafts you and your kids can make together. Bake Christmas cookies for Santa that would make Buddy and all of his North Pole pals proud. Have a Christmas movie marathon and snuggle with all your loved ones while watching movies on Netflix. And take a stroll in your neighborhood singing carols and spreading cheer by “singing loud for all to hear”! Don’t be a cotton-headed ninny muggins and let the season go by without sharing your favorite quotes from Elf with all your friends.
