1.The Truth About Cats & Dogs (1996)
It's easy for radio host and veterinarian Abbey (Janeane Garofalo) to dole out pet advice to fans of her show. Still, she's a bit insecure and convinced she's not nearly as pretty as her model neighbor Noelle (Uma Thurman). One day a desperate caller named Brian (Ben Chaplin) dials into her show to ask about his new dog and Abbey finds herself enamored as well as convinced Brian could only ever be attracted to her voice and Noelle's looks.
2.You've Got Mail (1998)
Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) owns a bookstore boutique whose financial struggles are made worse by the recent move of a corporate-owned chain store just around the corner. She's also in an amicable long-term relationship with her boyfriend and in the throes of something anonymous and electric with an AOL buddy who has quite a bit of advice for Kathleen on how to handle her business woes. Little does Kathleen know that the advice she is receiving is from none other than the corporate-owning executive aiming to put her out of business.
3.The Preacher's Wife (1996)
When Reverand Henry Biggs (Courtney B. Vance) finds himself under pressure in his work and marriage, an angel named Dudley (Denzel Washington) visits him to lend a hand. But it's not just the Reverand who finds himself being tested. In his efforts to help his newest assignment Dudley finds himself attracted to Julia (Whitney Houston), the reverend's wife.
4.Blast from the Past (1999)
After living his entire life with his parents inside of a fallout shelter in Pasadena, Adam (Brendan Fraser) must venture out into modern-day Los Angeles to restock his family's rations. While on a mission to find supplies, Adam learns the nuclear apocalypse never happened and meets Eve (Alicia Silverstone).
5.Love Jones (1997)
Darius (Larenz Tate) and Nina (Nia Long) are two aspiring artists who meet at a Chicago club and are attracted to each other right off the bat. Despite their mutual love for music, poetry, and photography, they just can't seem to be vulnerable about their true feelings and past heartache to hold each other down.
6.Jeffrey (1995)
Jeffrey (Steven Weber) lives in New York City during the height of the AIDS pandemic. In fear of the unknown regarding his health, Jeffrey wards of sex and men altogether only to immediately meet and fall in love with Steve (Michael T. Weiss), and handsome man who is HIV-positive. Ultimately Jeffrey must learn that his celibacy is less about his own death but the one of someone he could potentially fall in love with.
7.My Best Friend's Wedding (1997)
Julianne (Julia Roberts) and Michael (Dermot Mulroney) made a pact years ago to marry each other if they were still single by the time they turned 28. Just days before her 28th, Julianne gets a voicemail from Michael. He's desperate to talk. Initially nervous that he might be proposing, Julianne convinces herself to let him down easy only to learn that he's, in fact, marrying sweet 20-year-old Kim (Cameron Diaz) in just a few days. Suddenly awake to the fact that she's in love with her friend, Julianne vows to stop the wedding come hell or high water. WARNING: you will never look at Jello and crème brûlée the same again.
8.Double Happiness (1994)
Jade (Sandra Oh) is a Chinese-Canadian in her early twenties aspiring to be an actor and working overtime to avoid disappointing her traditional Chinese parents. Hoping to coax Jade into finally starting a family, her parents set her up on a series of dates with Chinese men of their like, but Jade finds herself attracted to a white grad student named Mark (Callum Rennie) and is soon way over her head.
9.There's Something About Mary (1998)
After years of thinking about his high school prom date, Ted (Ben Stiller) decides to hire Pat (Matt Dillon) to track down Mary (Cameron Diaz) so that they can reconnect. Unfortunately, Pat also finds himself attracted to marry and constructs a series of lies to keep Ted from winning his dream girl so he can have her all to herself.
10.Soul Food (1997)
When the Joseph family's diabetic matriarch (Irma P. Hall) falls into a coma the siblings fall into old habits that should have died years ago. Together they must work to maintain their relationships and the longstanding tradition of Sunday dinners their mother believed in.
11.Better Than Chocolate (1999)
Despite just recently obtaining a place of her own and meeting the woman of her dreams (Christina Cox) things get tricky for Maggie (Karyn Dwyer) when her recently divorced mother, Lila (Wendy Crewson), and her young brother ask to move in. After all, it's the '90s and while her sexual orientation should be a nonissue, the outdated social norms of this era mean Maggie isn't totally comfortable with being out.
12.The Wedding Singer (1998)
It's a '90s rom-com set in the '80s! In 1985, Robbie (Adam Sandler) is Mr. Nice Guy and the ultimate wedding singer whose romantic life comes crashing down when his fiancée abandons him at the altar. When he meets Julia (Drew Barrymore), a woman who hires him to help plan her own wedding, he finds himself in love and on deadline to prevent her from marrying the wrong guy.
13.Chutney Popcorn (1999)
Reena (Sakina Jaffrey) is a young, gay Indian-American woman who recently discovers that her married sister is unable to have children of her own. In a bid to finally gain her mother's approval, Reena must convince her commitment-phobic girlfriend that it's a good idea for her to get pregnant so that her sister may have the baby.

London bookstore owner William (Hugh Grant) catches the eye of American movie star Anna (Julia Roberts) in this film that gave the world the strange character Spike.

Okay, so I snuck this one in as a rom-com while it's mostly a thriller but come on! It's THE BODYGUARD which follows pop diva Rachel (Whitney Houston) as she deals with a stalker problem. To ensure her safety her team hires a former secret service agent Frank (Kevin Costner) as her bodyguard. While initially put off by Frank's controlling methods, Rachel soon finds herself in love and closer to danger than ever before.

25.Pretty Woman (1990)
It's rags to riches for Vivian (Julia Roberts) in this Cinderella story about a sex worker who falls in love with a wealthy businessman named Edward (Richard Gere).
26.Joe Versus the Volcano (1990)
Joe (Tom Hanks) receives a fatal diagnosis and decides to travel to a mysterious island and sacrifice himself to a volcano for the sake of the indigenous population. Two sisters (both played by Meg Ryan) ultimately give him a reason to consider living, however.
27.The Wedding Banquet (1993)
Wai-Tung (Winston Chao) and his boyfriend (Mitchell Lichtenstein) have a happy life together in Manhattan. When Wai-Tung's traditional Taiwanese parents (Sihung Lung, Ah-Leh Gua), decide it's time for him to settle down and marry, he enters an arrangement of convenience with Wei-Wei (May Chin), an artist hoping to obtain a green card.
28.Sleepless in Seattle (1993)
After his mother dies, Jonah (Ross Malinger) calls into a radio station in hopes of helping his dad Sam (Tom Hanks) mend his heart and get back on the horse again. Listener Annie (Meg Ryan), falls in love with Sam's voice and despite being engaged decides to try to make things work.
