3 Ways to Rock the Athleisure Trend (No Gym Membership Required!)

It’s no secret that athleisure — that modern portmanteau dedicated athletic leisurewear — has reached a fever pitch (the word was even entered into the dictionary). In 2004, the Stella McCartney for Adidas line was launched, the first time that workout clothes were given a stylish twist. Nike soon followed suit, doing highly popular collabs with the likes of Pedro Lourenço and Sacai. Lululemon is in the news nearly everyday and lately we’ve seen Kate Hudson introduce her line for Fabletics, Rihanna has partnered with Puma, and Beyoncé’s permanent athleisure collection for Topshop is set to debut in 2016.

So how do you make the athleisure trend work for you? Wear your leggings with a cool leather jacket, throw on heels with your tracksuit, or match your windbreaker to your handbag. The interchangeable looks are not only chic but comfortable too.
