1.On Only Murders in the Building, when Oscar and Mabel ended Season 1 as a couple...

Mabel and Oscar
Hulu

...And then he just straight-up wasn't in the next season. And all we got was this brief mention of him.

Oliver and Mabel

Like, this happens IRL, but considering it seemed for a moment in the Season 1 finale that Oscar was the one dead, it felt weird not to revisit him.

Hulu

2.On Teen Wolf, when Kira went away with the Skinwalkers and then...never came back.

Kira and the Skinwalkers

Lydia even said she'd be back to graduate, then she just...wasn't.

MTV

3.Also on Teen Wolf, when Danny revealed he knew about werewolves, and we assumed that would be a plot point, but....he just didn't come back next season.

Danny says he can't date a werewolf, and ethan replies "you knew?" danny says "dude, it's beacon hills"

Even though the show brought back his ex Ethan in the finale, now dating Jackson, they didn't bring back Danny.

MTV

4.On Pretty Little Liars, when Aria kissed Ezra's brother, and then he disappeared, never to be mentioned again:

Aria saying, "We can't do this."

I feel like this should've come out at some point, considering Aria MARRIES Ezra. Where was Wes at the wedding?

Freeform

5.Also on PLL, when the whole Ravenswood thing was dropped after the spinoff failed:

Caleb's grave labeled "never explained" and Miranda labeled "never mentioned again on PLL"

Okay, so they did have Caleb sort of deal with his trauma on Pretty Little Liars, but they never really go into exactly what happened, and supernatural stuff just sort of disappears from the show.

Freeform

6.Also on PLL — the whole NAT club thing:

A man saying, "At times, I even thought maybe he was filming it for someone else."

Am I forgetting some resolution to this? Ian and Garrett and Jason have this creepy club where they film underage girls, and Jason alludes that there was more to it than we realized. But then we just...never hear about it again. I feel like that happened with a lot of plot-lines on this show.

Freeform

7.On Dawson's Creek, when it was revealed Helen was Eve's birth mother (and that Eve was therefore Jen's half-sister) and nothing ever happened with this info:

Dawson saying, "Mrs. Lindley, this girl was carrying a picture of you."

Okay, so Jen found out her mom had a daughter she gave up for adoption, but she never found out it was Eve, right? Did Eve ever find out that Jen's mom was her mom? Was any of this ever resolved???

The WB

8.On Buffy the Vampire Slayer, when a Season 1 episode ended with an invisible girl joining an FBI assassination training...and then it was never mentioned again:

Book chapter reading, "Assassination and Infiltration"

To be fair, this is a brief moment in Season 7 where some of the past season's conflicts come back, and people start turning invisible, but that girl and the whole government program...just completely forgotten.

The WB

9.And just the entire existence of Xander's best friend Jesse on Buffy:

Jessie in the pilot

Neither Xander or Willow mention Jesse again, nor is it ever mentioned that Xander sort of accidentally killed his best friend. The show acts like it was always just Xander and Willow.

The WB

10.Oh, and the existence of almost the entire new cast on Glee, including the whole Jake/Ryder/Marley love triangle:

Jake, Marley and Ryder

I honestly kind of liked Marley, so this was sort of sad.

Fox

11.Also, the existence of Charlotte's brother on Sex and the City:

Charlotte's brother on Sex and the City

He shows up for one episode, then disappears. Was he even at Charlotte's wedding?

HBO

12.When Rufus and Lily's son on Gossip Girl was completely erased and never mentioned again:

Scott to Rufus: "All my life, I wondered about my real parents. When I found out they were you and Lily, that you were back together and you were getting married, I guess I hoped that I'd found out that you gave me up 'cause you weren't ready"

Likely because his existence made the Dan-Serena relationship feel a little incestuous.

The CW

13.And when there was an entire convoluted storyline about Chuck trying to figure out who his mother was that ended with him wondering if his Uncle Jack was his father...then it was never mentioned again:

Chuck (looking at photo of his mom pregnant with him): "It's not who's my mom. It's who's my dad. Nate, I think Jack Bass is my father"

I still don't know who Chuck's parents really are.

The CW

14.On Good Times, when Carl and Florida got engaged and moved away, and then when Florida came back two seasons later...Carl was just gone:

Florida saying, "I'm home!"

15.When Blair had a miscarriage on Gossip Girl:

a doctor tells Blair she lost her baby

16.When Haddie came out on Parenthood:

Kristina says "so you are Lauren are..." and Haddie says "yeah, we're dating"

I know this is partly because Haddie wasn't on the show much after this, but still. It felt like kind of a major thing for her to have a girlfriend, and then it was just never mentioned again.

NBC

17.When it was revealed that Libby had been in the psych ward with Hurley on Lost:

Libby in the psych ward

I'm still mad about this one. I know the actor left the show and the character died and all, but why introduce this giant cliffhanger, then?? What did it all mean?? Why was Libby in the psych ward with Hurley?? Did she remember him?? Was their relationship part of some larger plan??? I need answers.

ABC

18.Adrianna's relationship with Gia and her sexuality on 90210:

Adrianna and Gia kissing

They break up, and Gia is never mentioned again, nor is the fact that Ade was actively trying to figure out her sexuality and reading about compulsory heterosexuality. Really tired of the "just a phase" WLW relationships teen dramas often feature.

The CW

19.Also, when Annie killed a guy on 90210:

Annie in the driver's seat crying

Okay, to be fair, Annie did bring this up to that lady who wanted to buy her eggs. But other than that...her confession was so built up, and then she had a summer of community service, and it was rarely mentioned again. She literally killed someone while drunk-driving, then dated his nephew!!!! A mess.

The CW

20.Just the fact that Jess had a sister on New Girl:

Jess's sister Abby

She was never mentioned before and was never mentioned again. She did not show up at any holiday episodes or Jess's wedding. I s2g this girl did not exist except for those two episodes.

Fox

21.When Alex went to therapy in Modern Family:

Alex at therapy

I actually thought this was such a great episode. Modern Family claimed to be all about the "modern family," yet, it fell into so many tired tropes. This could've been a great opportunity to show more about mental health and its role in family, and it was reduced to a story of the week.

ABC

22.Just the existence of Lindsay on The O.C.:

Lindsay talking to Caleb on "The O.C."

It was like she'd never even existed. She literally didn't show up for her father's funeral.

Fox

23.When Bennett left Daya and their baby, and never came back on Orange Is the New Black:

Bennett crying in the car

24.When Peyton dated Pete Wentz on One Tree Hill:

Peyton talking to Pete

I still can't believe this. Let's be real. NO ONE in Peyton's life would've ever let her forget that after it happened. Also, except for the trip to see Jake directly after that, the show entirely forgot about Jake and his baby. :(

The WB

25.When Midge was murdered during a school play BY BETTY'S FATHER in Riverdale and it wasn't brought up again:

Midge stabbed to death with words written in her blood: "I am back from the dead. All those who escaped me before will die"

How did that school even continue to operate and CONTINUE TO PUT ON SCHOOL PLAYS, especially Heathers, which is literally about murder. And then a bunch of people got killed on prom night, too. ... This school should've been shut down.

The CW

26.When Angel had a whole storyline about how Cordelia was the only one who could beat Jasmine, then they put her in a coma and never talked about it again:

Wes says Cordelia might be their only hope to stop Jasmine, then Lorne says "if we can wake her up"

27.And finally, just the whole episode of Angel becoming human on Angel:

Angel saying, "I can't protect her or anyone this way. Not as a man."
