What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think about vampires? High-collared capes? Bloody fangs? Or maybe skin that glitters in the sun? Whether you’re a proud Twihard or a stickler for gory classics, we can all agree that the vampire genre is as varied as it is compelling. So, with Halloween season fast approaching, here are 26 of the best vampire movies you can rent or stream right now.
1. ‘Interview With the Vampire’ (1994)
In this film inspired by Anne Rice's 1976 novel of the same name, Louis (Brad Pitt), a bicentennial vampire, shares the fascinating story of how he turned immortal after being suicidal over his family's death. There's action, suspense, dark humor and, of course, blood galore.

When the sun fails to rise for 30 days in the town of Barrow, Alaska, the residents are trapped in darkness and forced to deal with an army of hungry vampires.
20. ‘Let Me In’ (2010)
If we could give awards for remakes that are actually good, then this one would be a top contender. Like in the first film, Let the Right One In, a young boy befriends (and eventually falls for) an unusual girl, who turns out to be a vampire. Chloë Grace Moretz and Kodi Smit-MchPhee star.
21. ‘The Fearless Vampire Killers’ (1967)

26. ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ (1992)
Although we would've loved to see Sarah Michelle Gellar take on the main role in this movie adaptation, Kristy Swanson doesn't disappoint. When Buffy Summers learns that she is destined to slay a nest of vampires, her world is turned upside down.
