I Already Can't Stop Obsessing Over "Ms. Marvel," So Here Are 21 Details I Noticed In Episode 2

🚨 Warning: There are MASSIVE spoilers ahead for Ms. Marvel Episode 2 on Disney+! 🚨

.First, after Kamala explains to Bruno that she originally thought she might have Ant-Man powers, she explains that she and Ant-Man both "look younger than they are," which is a nod to Paul Rudd still looking young. Captain Marvel might be Kamala's favorite superhero, but Ant-Man seems to be a close second.

.Similar to what Moon Knight did, Ms. Marvel has QR codes hidden during episodes that will take you to a free Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel comic. You can spot one on the poster for Coles Academic High School when Bruno and Kamala are walking through the hallway.

.Although Kamala's powers have been changed from the comic books for the show, there is a clever nod to her shapeshifting powers from the comics when her fist accidentally grows. In the comics, she's used her "embiggen" fist to take down villains.

.During Kamala's epic training montage, Bruno figures out that her powers are genetic and are coming from within her. This is similar to the Ms. Marvel comics, where Kamala has an Inhuman gene that is activated after she's exposed to Terrigen Mist. Notably, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. explored Terrigen Mist and Inhumans during its seven-season run.

.While practicing her powers on the roof, Kamala falls off a ledge and begs for Bruno to let her go, which is a funny moment that mirrors Natasha Romanoff's heartbreaking death on Vormir in Avengers: Endgame.

.While heading to Zoe's party, you'll notice that Kamala is riding on the back of Bruno's bicycle, which is a great continuity callback to Episode 1, when Kamala left her bike at the bus stop on the way to AvengerCon and, like Bruno said, it was likely stolen.

.When one of the guys at the party gives Kamala a sip of his drink and it actually has vodka in it, it's a moment taken directly from Ms. Marvel Issue #1 from 2014 where a similar moment happens.

.Also, Kamala wears an oversized winter hat to Zoe's party, and it's a look that Kamala has sported in the comics too. You can get a great glimpse of Kamala's winter hat and oversized jacket look in Ms. Marvel Issue #3.

.When Kamran makes his ~gorgeous~ entrance, it's similar to his first appearance in Ms. Marvel Vol. 3 Issue #13. In the comics, Kamran's family was actually very close with the Khans before they moved to Texas. Once Kamran moves back to Jersey City, he re-meets Kamala. Also, in the comics, Kamran has powers and discovers them after being exposed to Terrigen Mist, similar to Kamala.

.Okay, I'm just absolutely obsessed with the animation throughout Ms. Marvel already, so I have to point out the neon heart that appears behind Kamala after Kamran offers to give her a driving lesson.

Kamala is standing in front of neon signs saying checks can be cashed inside, but later in the scene, those signs are replaced with a large pink heart

.Kamala dancing to "Be My Baby" by the Ronettes is honestly the best scene in this whole episode, and it's a great nod to Dirty Dancing, which famously featured the song during the film's opening credits.

Also, a similar moment occurred in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, when Sabrina Spellman also danced to

.During Kamala's dream animation sequence about Kamran, you can once again see flying sloths. The sloth with wings matches Kamala's winged sloth stuffed animal from Ms. Marvel Issue #1 from 2014.

.When Kamala is hiding in the bathroom while her powers are acting up, you can see that she's wearing a shirt with Black Widow on it. The shirt matches Black Widow's design from the Marvel comic books.

.When Mr. Wilson tells Bruno about the CalTech program he got accepted to, he makes a reference to becoming a Jedi, which is likely a nod to this moment from Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace when Obi-Wan Kenobi tells Anakin a similar thing.

.And then, Mr. Wilson also references Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada while telling Bruno why he should take the CalTech internship.

.When Kamala and Kamran are hanging out and discussing Bollywood movies and actors, they mention Kingo, who we first met in Eternals.

.Also, Kamran mentions how his mom has a crush on "Kingo Senior." In Eternals, we found out that Kingo has been acting in Bollywood for over 100 years and convincing people that he's part of a great Bollywood dynasty and not the same person.

.After Kamala first helps the young boy who is falling from the roof, she strikes a pose that is reminiscent of Natasha Romanoff's iconic Black Widow pose that we first saw in Iron Man 2. Of course, Yelena would 100% make fun of Kamala for doing this.

.When various social media posts about Ms. Marvel saving the young boy flash across the screen, you can see that one of the tweets includes "#duexmoi," which is a reference to DeuxMoi, the popular celebrity spotting and gossip Instagram. You can even see that the hashtag isn't blue, which means there's a typo.

.The drone that tracks Kamala through the alley is similar to the Stark drones that Quentin Beck used while fighting (and tricking) Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Far from Home. This is just another big nod to Tom Holland's Spider-Man universe in this series.

.And finally, Matthew (@MatHelman) hit me up on Twitter last week to say he spotted a Trust A Bro truck from Hawkeye in the closing credits, so here it is! Shoutout to Matthew for this amazing Easter egg find!
