21 Black-Owned Wellness Brands That Support Black Joy

Black-owned wellness brands and mental health organizations are more of a safe haven for support than ever—in these spaces within the Black community, companies and foundations are doing the necessary work of connecting and nourishing their audiences.

And because these businesses should be supported both now and always, we’re magnifying some of the healthiest spaces providing in-person and virtual services and actual products that can help promote your well-being. From fitness studios to crystal and herb shops, here we’ve rounded up 21 Black-owned wellness brands that support and promote Black joy.

BLK + GRN

BLK + GRN is an online marketplace made up of more than 60 Black artisans, selling products that use all-natural ingredients. The website sells almost everything you can imagine—from menstrual care to products for the home.

GirlTrek

GirlTrek, a self-care movement centered on walking, “is rallying 1 million Black women to walk in their neighborhoods for radical self-care and healing.” GirlTrek serves as the largest public and health movement for Black women, and offers community support, neighborhood walks, and a walking podcast as part of their Black History Bootcamp.

The Honey Pot Co.

The Honey Pot Company, founded by Bea Dixon, recently hit the shelves at Target. The intimacy care line includes everything from pads to panty liners to feminine wipes. The most raved-about product? The normal foaming wash, which is plant-derived and made with herbal ingredients.

Transparent & Black

Transparent & Black is a wellness collective that creates space for Black people to heal from trauma. The organization is currently working to build its first physical space in Brooklyn, which will include access to therapists, doulas, stillness rooms, and fitness classes for the Black community. Their digital services are centered around yoga, mental health check-ins, and more.

Caramel Brown Cosmetics

Founded by Jessica St. Sulme in 2011, Caramel Brown Cosmetics has a wide variety of vegan-based, all-natural products, which include everything from handmade body butter to cotton-candy-themed sugar body scrubs. Rituals + Ceremony

Rituals + Ceremony is a wellness space located in Brooklyn, but with plenty of goodies sold online including crystal box sets, manifestation kits, and essential oils such as the Rose Geranium Relaxation Body Oil, dedicated to restoring suppleness and softness.

Therapy for Black Girls

Therapy for Black Girls is an online platform dedicated to encouraging mental wellness for Black women. Mental health topics are presented in a way that feels accessible and therapists, both in-office and virtual, can be found according to your proximity. The organization also offers virtual sessions and events centered around mental health.

Heal Haus

Heal Haus, founded by Elisa Shankle and Darian Hall, is more than a joint wellness space and café (located in Brooklyn)—it also serves as an online space “where healing is accessible, inclusive, and community-oriented.” Its online offerings include daily classes ranging from Alchemy Meditation to Open Level Vinyasa. Classes start at $10.

Fly Girl Collective

Fly Girl Collective, based in London and now operating virtually, connects women through collective challenges and events. Other resources on its website include posts centered around healthy eating, inspirational “Cool Down” panel discussions, and much more.

Chakra Zulu Crystals
