This simple baking hack will vastly improve your next batch of cupcakes

It’s no secret that baking has become a massive trend while everyone is spending more time at home.

Whether you’ve just gotten your hands on your very first sourdough starter or you’re finally taking a stab at that viral cookie recipe, now’s the time to try — and fail — to make all those baked goods you always said you would.

Cupcakes are one of the easiest things bake, but even if you’re a master chef, they can become a soggy mess when you take them out of the oven.

TikTok user TheSlothBakes shared an incredibly easy hack to keep your cupcakes from becoming too, well, moist.

Simply sprinkle a few pieces of rice in your cupcake tin before putting the paper casing in.

The rice will cook, but not burn, and the bottoms of your delicious baked goods will stay dry.

TikTok users were amazed by the simplicity of the trick.

"You have just changed my life," one said.

"What a fantastic idea," another wrote.

Bon appétit!
