The Stupid Car Tray converts any passenger seat into a table
Say goodbye to spills and disorganization with the Stupid Car Tray. Despite the name, the tray handily converts any passenger seat into a table — perfect for food and drinks on the go.
Just place it onto a seat and it adjusts to level the unused surface. In addition to different sized compartments for snacks, keys and smartphones, the tray also has a cargo strap to fasten in larger items.
The portable table is made with slip-reduction rubber to ensure large items are securely fastened. The side of the tray even has hooks for small bags or loose items drivers don’t want touching the floor. When the Stupid Car Tray isn’t in use inside the car it works perfectly as a personal laptop, tablet or reading desk at home.
The name was inspired by initial feedback the tray’s creators received when they were making the prototype.
“Well, it’s stupidly obvious and I love it. I want two more for my kids and other car,” the person said — and the rest is history.
