Whether you’re a Food Network fanatic, or you just learned how to turn on your oven, The Pioneer Woman has a cookbook for you.

Ree Drummond, food blogger-turned-TV chef, is known for making hearty “cowboy-approved meals” from her Oklahoma ranch. She first launched her blog, The Pioneer Woman, in 2006, chronicling her life as a self-proclaimed “accidental country girl” who, for many years, had plans to be a lawyer in Chicago. Instead, she found herself to be a mother of four living in the country.

About a year later Drummond published her first recipe, “How to Cook a Steak.” The recipe explained the how-to in great detail, with 20 images showing each step. The recipe was an instant hit with Drummond’s readers, and in 2007, she won a Bloggy award for Best Kept Secret, followed by the Best Weblog of the Year award in 2008.

From then on she filled her site to the brim with recipes — enough to launch a cookbook in 2009, much to fans’ cravings. Before the book was officially released to the public, it was No. 1 on Amazon’s preorder list in the Cooking, Food & Wine category, according to a Los Angeles Times article from that year.

Her first book, “The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes From an Accidental Country Girl,” became a New York Times Bestseller and, like her blog, includes step-by-step photos of each recipe which are created with widely used, easy-to-find ingredients for simple, yet delicious country-inspired meals.

“The stories in this book and Ree’s recipe instructions make you feel like you are cooking with your best buddy,” wrote one Barnes and Noble reviewer. “I love that she took all the pictures included in the recipes and included pictures of her dirty dishes and messy kitchen.”

Since that first cookbook, Ree released five more cookbooks, landed her own TV show on Food Network in 2011 and released kitchen, home, pet and food products at Walmart. Her love of writing also extended beyond recipes — Ree authored a children’s book series called “Charlie the Ranch Dog” inspired by her own pet and a book about her and her husband’s love story titled, “The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels–A Love Story.”

If you’re looking for something delicious to cook or simply to kill time, you can’t go wrong with trying out one or more of The Pioneer Woman’s recipes. Check out all of her cookbooks below, starting with her original book and ending with her newest release from 2019.

Ree’s latest book showcases how her life has evolved since her first book. It’s all still classic Pioneer Woman dishes, but with a more modern twist.
