Coursera

Every single course is taught by a top-notch instructor and while you’ll be learning in an atypical classroom, you’ll still be able to test your knowledge with self-paced quizzes and projects. If you've ever wanted to learn Python, Javascript, C++ or HTML coding, Codeacademy is a great place to start your education. This learning community has been around for seven years and has had 45 million students.

Their courses cater to those looking to study web development, computer science, programming, game development and data science, and as their classes offerings are expansive, if you don't know where to start, you can take their online quiz for course suggestions.

Start with 180 hours of free content or pay $19 a month with their Pro option, either way, you’ll be able to receive instant feedback and apply your new skills to real-world projects.

Skillshare

Skillshare is a great resource for those looking to learn something in the creative space. With classes available on topics like animation, illustration, design, photography, business and video, Skillshare can help you to pick up a new hobby and to hone in on a passion. You can even learn during your commute or when you're on the go when you download their app.

Offering both paid and free course options, with Skillshare you can expect to find classes like the Fundamentals of DSLR Photography, Digital Poster Design and Getting to Know Your Paint that are all taught by industry professionals. Artists can even learn how to work on a freelance basis and how much they should charge for their services.

Plus, if you have something to share, you can also apply to become a teacher.
