Our team is dedicated to finding and telling you more about the products and deals we love. If you love them too and decide to purchase through the links below, we may receive a commission. Pricing and availability are subject to change.

It's no secret that the In The Know team is pretty beauty obsessed. With recommendations at the ready for everything from a budget-friendly mascara we love to the hair mask we're adding to our Amazon carts, we have beauty on the brain practically 24/7.

So, in honor of Women's History Month, we're also highlighting a few of our very favorite female-founded cosmetics brands. Keep reading to get inspired by strong women (and to get the 4-1-1 on our favorite products from their lines!).

Holifrog

Founded by Emily Parr just last year, Holifrog is here to meet all of your situational cleansing needs. The line currently features four different face washes (with a fifth on its way) that all seek to cleanse your skin in every state. Our favorite wash in the line is the Kissimmee Vitamin F Therapy Balmy Wash. Made to be used on a dry face, this wash leaves our skin hydrated and seriously soft.

Kosas

Kosas was created by Sheena Yaitanes in 2015 and has taken the beauty world by storm. Not only are all of Kosas' products clean and "skin-loving," but they are incredibly easy to use and can be applied with your fingers. We are major fans of their Rosewater colored lipstick — it looks amazing on any skin tone and doesn't dry out your pout.

BeautyBio

BeautyBio was created by Jamie O’Banion with the goal to bring beauty products to the masses that are actually efficacious. We love their eye gels, thanks to all of the de-puffing power that you get in just 10 minutes. For $40 you get a set of 15 and we highly suggest packing them in your carry-on bag for a fun in-flight treat or popping them on in the morning before a day of important meetings.

Summer Fridays

Originally known for their blogs, friends Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores Ireland came together to create Summer Fridays. Having launched first with face masks, their debut product, Jet Lag Mask, is our forever favorite. This thick and creamy hydrating mask doesn't leave our skin feeling greasy but instead perfectly balanced and moisturized. If you are interested in trying out one product from the brand, let it be this one.

UOMA

Founded by Nigerian born Sharon Chuter, the LA & London based former beauty executive created UOMA to "redefine the rules of inclusivity and diversity." With products ranging from metallic lipsticks to feathered eyelashes and dual-ended contour sticks, UOMA has something for everyone. We particularly love that their Blow Out brow gel lifts and fills in our brows in a flash.

lilah b.

Cheryl Yannotti Foland founded lilah b. to give women minimalist beauty products that could be used in multiple ways. Not only are the products themselves amazing, but they come in chic stone-like packaging that is simply a joy to use. And in honor of International Women's Day (March 8!), the brand is donating 15 percent of all Divine Duo Lip & Cheek sales to Project Glimmer for the month of March (this multi-use lip and cheek product also happens to be our favorite item!).

ROSE Ingleton MD

Dermatologist Dr. Rosemarie Ingleton developed her own skincare line with a Jamaican SuperFruit Blend from her home island and it is just what the doctor ordered. The line includes a universal moisturizer and four "boosters" that are designed to target different skin issues. Our favorite booster is the one designed to help fight acne — it's light, it's gentle and it does its job.

Glossier

Now an icon in the beauty world, Emily Weiss has turned Glossier into a globally recognized brand from the modest pale pink line of products that were originally derived from conversations on the beauty website, Into The Gloss. While the ITK team loves their Cloud Paint blushes, Boy Brow eyebrow grooming pomade will always be our No. 1, thanks to its easy-to-use wand and forgiving wax. Boy Brow is available on its own but we love a good deal and Glossier's makeup sets are too fun.

Starface

Former beauty editor Julie Schott wanted to create a conversation around acne and breakouts and so she co-founded Starface. Yellow, star-shaped hydrocolloid pimple patches were the brand's debut product and are honestly as effective as they are cute! Pop a star on your next zit and help speed up its healing time — wear them out and about or to bed at night.

RMS

Legendary makeup artist Rose-Marie Swift founded her clean beauty company RMS after researching all of the toxic ingredients found in makeup and realizing that the industry was in major need of healthy options. RMS is known for their highlighters that give a gorgeous, lit-from-within glow and come in five stunning variations — we're partial to Magic.

Drunk Elephant

Tiffany Masterson created Drunk Elephant in an effort to create a line of skincare products that can be mixed and layered thanks to the fact that they don't include any irritants commonly found in skincare products. Masterson's philosophy is that "Skin is skin. It knows what to do if we let it." While we love all of the products that DE has to offer, it's the ultra-moisturizingProtini Polypeptide Cream that stands out to us.
