The Cuisinart chopper doesn’t only cut down chopping time, but it reduces the risk that you cut yourself. To use, just place the food you’d like to cut up under the blade on the bottom and quickly (but somewhat forcefully) press the top button to send the blade through the food. Do this as many times as you need, until the food is chopped up into the size you desire (or until you’ve gotten out all of your pent up anger).
It might sound intense, but it’s actually very easy to use. Although, I personally recommend cutting up your produce at least a little bit before using. Say you want to dice an apple; you should slice the apple into halves or fourths, then chop away. You can also move the chopper around your cutting board over all of the produce you’d like chopped, rather than chopping then switching out whatever is underneath.
If you don’t feel like getting out your cutting board and cleaning it, you can also attach the base (which comes with it) and chop. This is great for chopping small ingredients like garlic cloves or fresh herbs, or for when you’re working in a small space.
