19 Times Julia Fox Dressed So Fiercely, She Could've Been Anybody's Muse

That being said, I've rounded up and ranked 19 of her best looks from the year. So without further ado, here they are:

Julia is regularly seen sporting monochromatic outfits, and this black denim ensemble is definitely in her top 20 looks of the year. It manages to be casual and edgy at the same time, and I love the patchwork detail on the jeans. However, it's less bold than some of her other fashion choices from the last 12 months, so I'll give it a ranking of 19th place.

This dress becomes more interesting the longer you look at it — at first glance, it's leather, and then you see the denim printed on. I love an illusion, and this outfit is so perplexing, I just had to put it on this list. Plus, her seemingly wet hair complete with the aquamarine highlights is giving her a magical, mermaid-like aura, so 18th place.

This outfit is screaming, "I'm the main character of an action movie," and for that, it's accruing some points. The gelled-back hair and platform combat boots add a nice touch to the overall "fighter" vibe too. The choice to go topless underneath the jacket was brave, but this outfit was somehow a little plain compared with some of her other looks, positioning this near the end of the list.

I love a simple look dressed up with a bold shoe, and this white skirt set paired with the over-the-knee stiletto boots is incredible. The glossiness of the gloves is giving trash bag chic, but she also looks like a superhero. Anyway, it's great, but the white tank is pretty basic, so I think it's fair to say this one's in 16th place.

This one's giving mysterious glam girl and The Matrix at the same time. I can't tell whether I love or hate the shoulders of this coat, but I think we can all appreciate how gutsy this look was.

Honestly, Julia's bleached eyebrows make any of her outfits look cool, but they go particularly well with this gray cutout pants set. I'm usually not a fan of cargo pants, but these are unique. It's definitely not her best look of the year, but I think it's still exciting and different. So I'll give it 14th place.

Honestly, this one's just a perfect "casual night out" look. Somehow, she makes it look as if she just threw this outfit on and walked out the door, despite how dramatic a floor-length leather coat would look on anybody else. Bold yet effortless: 13th place.

Once again, a fabulous denim-on-denim look complete with a purse of the same material — a jurse, if you will. The bandless jeans with the band as a top is so creative, too. It's definitely one of the more memorable looks she served this year.

Julia said her sense of style could best be described as "dominatrix couture," and this outfit fits the bill. She's just so good at making monochrome look interesting. I also don't know how she manages to have so many similar pieces of leather clothing, but I love it — 11th place.

We're now down to the top 10, and Julia's dress for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party certainly turned heads with the hand accessory around her neck. And if that detail wasn't daunting enough for you, just know that her purse was supposedly made of real human hair. I don't know if I would wear this myself, but I appreciate a daring outfit choice, so extra points for this one.

Okay, this one has to be one of my favorites. I think it's the perfect amount of flashy for Julia's standards — plus, that shade of red is beautiful. The boots are also just *chef's kiss* and help mount this look as one of her best of the year.

Julia has clearly established a liking for cropped tops, but I love this one specifically because of the matching red band on her skirt. It's elegant and glamorous, and her dramatic eyeliner really pulls the entire look together: eighth place.

Julia's plastic wrap–inspired look that she wore to New York Fashion Week is a work of art. I mean, I could seriously see this in a fashion museum. Although the dress was made by a designer, she did tell Harper's Bazaar that she made the boots and purse herself an hour before she was supposed to show up at the event. This outfit is truly one of a kind, so it gets the lucky number seven.

I really love this outfit because every piece of clothing has something unique about it. The top is half-sleeved, the skirt and bag have graphics printed on them, and the boots are, well, red stilettos — need I say more? I think this outfit also aligns most with my personal style, so sixth place.

The contender for fifth place is another outfit that seems to be inspired by Julia's former days as a dominatrix. What may not be immediately clear is that she's holding the hair extension attached to her ponytail, which is made to look like a whip. Genius.

In fourth place is one of Julia's headline-making Paris Fashion Week looks. There's something supervillainous about this fitted, glossy leather jacket, and she manages to accentuate that even further with her sleeked hair and ultra-dark eye makeup. Those earrings are just the cherry on top of the cake.

We're now down to the top three, so expect these to be some of her most rousing looks of the year. Julia wore this elegant cutout dress to the CFDA Fashion Awards, and it's easily one of my favorite looks from her. And yes, her bleached hair and eyebrows serve a purpose: They're a "love letter to getting older," she explained on the red carpet.

Coming in at second place is this Canadian tux that Julia wore earlier this year. This look reminds me of that iconic Britney Spears outfit, and that alone is reason enough for this look to take home the silver medal. And for all of you wondering, the built-in cone bra of the denim jacket is supposed to be a nod to Madonna's outfit during her Blond Ambition World Tour in 1990.

Some can agree to disagree, but I think this underwear set Julia wore to the grocery store is indisputably her best outfit of 2022. The denim blazer worn with the knee-high boots and jean purse add the perfect amount of flair to the simplicity of the bralette and underwear. I am absolutely obsessed. Julia even posted photos of this outfit with the caption, "My vibe is just preparing for the apocalypse rn," and honestly, I feel that.
