1.To start, Xochitl Gomez started acting at age 5 after her mom signed her up for musical theater.
2.One of her first major recurring roles was as Dawn Schafer in the Netflix reboot of The Baby-Sitters Club.

"What I also loved [about playing America] is that she's resilient, and she is charismatic," she said. "Even though literally the entire world is against her, she's hopeful, and you want to root for her. That's a really positive representation for Latinas and teens."
