Whoever told you horror movies are only for spooky season, you've been misled. Every season is spooky season when you're a horror fan — and there are some seriously amazing horror movies premiering all throughout 2023. Even if you're just a casual viewer who enjoys a good scare from time to time, Netflix luckily has a ton of different terrifying movies ready to be streamed.

In the mood for what Jenna Ortega's character called "elevated horror" in 2022's Scream? Check out His House or The Platform. What about a vampire movie? Blood Red Sky and Vampires vs. the Bronx are both great choices. In the mood for a zombie flick? Watch #Alive or Dawn of the Dead. Or, maybe you're wanting to take things back several decades? You can never go wrong with Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho or The Birds.

Whatever subgenre of horror you feel like watching, we've compiled a list that will have something for everyone, from supernatural and psychological, to slasher and creature feature. Be sure to check back here each month, as we'll be updating this when new horror movies hit Netflix (and when they get removed).
